steevo says (3:54 PM):
mom did not miss a beat and sed
"thats called an erection, son
it should feel very good to touch it..
i agreed
she sed someday when you are a few yrs older when you have lots of pubic hair
your penis will put out a fluid
and if your erection is inside a woman's body
it might make a baby
remember when we talked about this?
i did of course
steevo says (3:57 PM):
she smiled and sed
"well u r growing up aren't u? ... have fun...."
and left...
rboy7336@gmail.com says (3:57 PM):

I no guilt... in my home sex was just matter of fact... like lasagna... part of life
...so soon they reviewed wet dreams
and were careful that I knew what to expect...
and told me not to be upset when it happens
...so one morning i come out yelling,
"mom, dad .... guess what????
i had a wet dream last nite...
not much came out... but enuf to be wet"
(*dan the precocious bastard beat me by more than 6 months*)
then we all 3 giggled
they sed congratulations...
this is a big day for you
rboy7336@gmail.com says (4:00 PM):

rboy7336@gmail.com says (4:01 PM):
lol... epic... musta been fun growing up
steevo says (4:01 PM):
oh it was
i think it is 1 reason i did not know i was gay
or could be with dan
i liked naked
steevo says (4:02 PM):
of any kind
rents and i did lots of gentle sexual humor
not gross... but references to bodies
size, etc. [so I knew sex was FUN!]
later they told me they did it on purpose...
so i would think sex was just part of life
and not shameful or nasty
steevo says (4:03 PM):
rboy7336@gmail.com says (4:03 PM):
cool...
steevo says (4:03 PM):
we would talk about sex or i could ask questions anywhere anytime
one rule...
just between us 3
private ...not bad
they told me some people might be uncomfortable...
steevo says (4:04 PM):
in school i was always the sexpert
(hey i should blog this)
all my fellow 4th graders knew i knew the right stuff
and i did 90% of the time
i was a science nerd too...
if i did not know the answer
they'd tell me to ask the rents and let them know and i did...
rboy7336@gmail.com says (4:05 PM):
ya, it would be a good post to blog...deff a unique childhood...
steevo says (4:05 PM):
i never told the rents why i was asking those school questions...
at some level i knew to be kewl....
rboy7336@gmail.com says (4:05 PM):
lol ...thats epic man... END
Dan's rents were about the same... we both had a very grounded sense of sexuality...
we try to convince my rents to write a book.... no luck so far...

ahaha awesome!
That's awesome. :)
Lol, pretty amazing and effective teaching, no? :-P
@David,MB,AEK: and what is most telling in this tale, is that at the time it was nothing out of the ordinary. Rents seized "teachable moments" all the time. Mom is artistic, can draw anything. She'd use simple line drawings to explain stuff. I could always ask either rent, made no difference. But if dad was kinda sorta "stuck" explaining something he'd say, "Well let's go ask mom to get out her pencil." Visual learner. So today that phrase is part of the family "Lexicon". When trying to solve a problem, or figure something out, someone often says something like, "MOM! Get in here with yer damn pencil!"
Anecdotal research indicates that every family has a list of terms and phrases unique to their own family history. And the stories behind them are often quite amusing.
I could do a post on this topic. Not EVERYTHING hasta be about queers here FFS! LOL. You think?
